Now for the answers.

  1. What exactly is this site all about?

  2. We are an informational site that is free to any and all who come to visit us. We specialize in the mapping of the different alcoholic establishments in the state of Texas, however, we've branched out to trying and provide a fully functional website that you will want to come back to again and again. We've got it all! Bars, clubs, liquor stores, convenient stores, grocery stores, tubing spots, camping and recreation, and pretty much anything that you'll want to know where to buy yourself a brewskie at. We've also added some extra features such as our forum, historical beer sites and info about them, how to brew your own beer section, Texas Beer Maps T's and other cool products with funny sayings and cool pictures. We've got lots of ideas in the workings, we're going to be sponsoring Texas music bands, throwing TBM parties, and will give out info on upcoming shows in Texas, and Like it says on our main page - Our goal is to provide you with the information you'll need to have a great time in a great state! If you want to know more about us, how we started, and more information about the guys who made it all happen, click on the About Us link! We're just a bunch of guys and gals like you - We love to have a good time, and we love to drink alcohol!

  3. How do I use this map?

  4. Good Question! It's very simple. Just click on the Drink Map , and then find your region. The map points will load automatically and then you can either zoom around and find the area you want or, you can type in anything you want (and we mean anything) into the search bar at the bottom left of the map, it'll zoom into the locations that fit your description. You can use your address, a city, a zip code, a street name, you can even look up, lets say, vacuum cleaner stores, then look to see all the locations around those vacuum stores! It's crazy sweet, we know! We've got them all, so if you're looking to go to a club or bar, it's there. Maybe a restaurant? We've got those too. If you're just on your way home and need to stop and pick up a 6 pack, they are also there. There is a key at the top to show you what the different icons on the map are.

  5. Why does the map load slowly?
Basically, there are about 40,000 + places in the state of Texas that sell beer, wine, and liquor. Try and load all these places at once, and you'll get a slow, unresponsive map. We've divied these places up in categories, and we've also sectioned the state by regions. This helps with load times, however, if you have a very slow internet connection, some areas might still load a little slow due to the volume of establishments in that area, such as our Houston Map. There are 4000 convenient stores alone. You can also try to clear your broswer's cache or cookies. Click Here to learn how to do this if you are unsure about the process.

  6. Do you really have every single alcoholic establishment in Texas?

  7. We'd like to think so, but the logical answer is no. We've tested and QA'd as much as possible, however, it is literally impossible to keep up with the changing economy in the state of Texas at all times. We update quarterly, taking down businesses that are no longer here, and add new ones that have developed since the last update. Our goal is to be as close to perfect as possible, however, we drink beer... We may miss one or two every now and then! Remember though, you can use the search feature and find it first, or use the list in the side bar on the right... Again, crazy sweet! (Love that word)

  8. What if I find a place on the map in a wrong location?

  9. If you find a location on the map missing or is in the wrong spot, please send us the information by using the Contact TBM link and send them to us. As we catch them, we'll correct and update, post stat!

  10. Can I make suggestions?

  11. Of course you can! We'd love to hear them, and if we implement any of your suggestions, we'll send you a free T-shirt in the mail! Just use the Contact TBM link and send them on in!

  12. What's the difference between the establishment tabs?

  13. We'll go ahead and list them out here for easy reference:

    Bars and Clubs -
These are pretty self explanatory. If it's a bar sign, it will normally be a bar, however, some restaurants have purchased bar licenses, and we'll correct those as we catch them.

    Restaurants -
These will be places that serve food along with their booze. Easy enough right?

    Convenient Stores
Convenient stores are going to be gas stations and quick stops like 7-11. You'll be able to buy beer here, but no liquor.

    Liquor Stores
We've listed all of the liquor stores in Texas for ya! These places will usually sell beer and definitely will sell liquor!

    Food Marts
These locations are going to be places like your local grocery stores or food marts. Places where you can normally buy food that also sell beer. These places will also not sell liquor. HEB is a good example of a food mart.

    Adult Clubs
These locations will be adult oriented bars and nightclubs. I don't think we have to go into too much detail here.

  14. Why don't you just put all the locations on one page?

  15. Again, if we tried to load 40,000 + locations all at once, then the map would be useless. It would take 4 hours to load, and don't even try to zoom in or move anywhere!

Send us your questions and we'll update this section as needed! Happy drinking!
